“That He gave His only begotten Son,”
He – God – Creator – Theos – the One and Only true God
Gave – to give over, to reach out – to extend – to offer
His – God – Father in heaven
only begotten – single, unique, only one of it kind
Son – sharing the same nature as His Father, has the legal rights to His Father’s inheritance, conceived of the Holy Ghost without intervention of a human Father.
In other words the gift of a lifetime. God gave a gift that no other man would give for another. Why did God reach down from heaven and place His only Son in our worldly realm. Simply because of His Great love for us. No other reason. So why do I question that love?
