A Note from Kellye

Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.” – Ecc. 3:11, NLT

My name is Kellye Jones. I am the heart and writer behind this site. To be honest, I had a long argument with God about putting myself out there on the internet. It is a big step for me!

I’m not a naturally tech savvy person!!! (I say that with exclamation points for a reason). Half the time, I am pushing wrong buttons, publishing what I don’t want published, and not publishing what I do. I seem to move it somewhere in cyberspace. Oh where oh where did that go?

Despite my lack of experience in this area, God still asked me to create this blog. If he could show Noah how to build a boat when Noah didn’t even know what a boat was, could I trust God to show me His blueprints for this blog space? He only had one additional request…use it to bring Him glory.

It began when I came across this verse in Ecclesiastes. I love how it is worded in the New Living Translation: “God has planted eternity in the human heart.” Now, doesn’t that verse paint a vivid picture for you? This blog was ultimately birthed from that verse, and my first post was the story of the Creator planting the eternity seed in my heart as he wove me together.

It has been lying dormant in my life waiting to flower into eternal fruit. I am tired of covering that seed up with rocks and boulders, thorns and thistles. I don’t want my seed planted in shallow soil. I choose to liberate the eternity seed in my life. No longer will the worries of this world or the desire for other things choke the life from this seed as Jesus tells us about in Mark 4:1-20. My enemy the devil can no longer steal God’s promises form my heart. I declare all this in Jesus’ name because without Him, I can’t do it. I’m not a good gardener; that isn’t my gifting, but thankfully it is His.

My goal here is to help each of us unearth that eternity seed; it is inside each of us, and God is ready to cultivate it into something extraordinary. After each post, I will share a question for us all to think about. I will publish all responses that bring glory to God and to His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. For through Him, by Him and for Him, we live and breathe, and have our being.

My prayer for this site is simple: God, I worship you. My writing is my form of worship to you. Lord, bless each reader. You are the seed planter. We are only the clay and the ground. Mold us and make us; Lord have your way. God, help us unearth the eternity seed in our hearts. In Jesus’ holy name, everybody said Amen!

I am so excited you are a part of this journey,

Kellye
